One of only two restaurants that I am aware of in Vancouver with little table top jukeboxes (and the ones at Helen’s are not out of order!). I like the grilled cheese with bacon inside it (on sour dough), either with a cup of soup, a salad or the fries. ... Their fries are the skinny style 👍🏻👍🏻 And a cup of coffee of course. Read more

Restaurant was cozy and we liked old-fashined decoration style. Each table had their own jukebox and could play a song for a quarter. Service was average and food was ok. Onion rings were good, a bit expensive, but portion was generous. Bread pudding was not good.

I love this place! My second time going there in a few weeks. I'm very impressed with portions of the food on the plate. Today's order was Salisbury steak, and I left full, ohh and I had a choice of salad or soup, and I went with the soup, it ... was a regular bowl of soup, not a small cup, forgot to take picture of soup. I decided to grab a bite after work, as I would always pass by (never tried it before). I entered 15 minutes before their closing and they were getting ready to clean up in the kitchen. Regardless of the restaurant almost closing, Nick took my order and allowed me to ... dine in. (SHOUTOUT to Nick, he’s awesome) I felt at home and was full by the great portions. The place also gives huge retro vibes, from the seats to the quarter speakers. It made me feel like I time travelled. I came from another restaurant before coming here and I got kicked out even though they were closing in 40 minutes, so Helen’s Grill definitely made a great impression on me.
