I have found paradise and it is Greenwood Smokehouse. We got the 2 Meat Platter and also added a side of mac n cheese. To start, the place smells amazing and the food lives up to it. Always wanted to try Greenwood Smokehouse and it was definitely worth it. Parking as expected was horrible on the the Danforth. Super friendly staff, helped us order once he sensed it was our first time at Greenwood. Standard order of beef brisket and smoked wings. Price-wise similar to other BBQ ... restaurants. Loved the Star Wars decorations in/on the wall. Meat wrapped in butcher paper is the standard elsewhere, juices are soaked up by the paper so bit dry by the time you get home. Not so at Greenwood, the brisket packed in plastic containers so all the juices are not wasted and that is the key to oh so juicy brisket. The whole car smelled of smoke, just loved it. Smoked wings were flavourful but a bit dry. Overall, if the brisket had more of a bark/salt then can easily give it 4.5 stars. Read more

From the moment you enter a wave of heat and smouldering wood conjure warm thoughts of saunas and southern BBQ. I had a few minutes and an appetite to kill, so I jumped right in with one of their specials combining hours of smoked brisket with the instant kick of ... the house habanero hot sauce. The brisket was excellent melting smoother than the creamy jalapeno mac and cheese. The presentation and flavours were straight forward, you know what you came for and here it is. Saturday brunch at this place is not to be missed! I come here quite often as they make a mean Montreal smoked meat hash on Saturday’s and also offer up $5 Cesar’s and cider mimosas. The smoked meats are delicious and I love that you sub them into your brunch! ... Good vibes, great brunch and excellent service. You can also find daily specials and non meat options in the menu. Discovered this place while walking on danforth and couldn’t help but stop by. A very cozy backyard, great staff, delicious food and cocktails. Loved our experience there and would definitely recommend. When you find places like this it makes exploring the city worth it. What a gem of a place.
