Food is tasty every time but the dishes are rarely made exactly the same way twice. The last time I ate there they had no shrimp or onions bhaji or eggplant in stock. The seating area is clean but worn out. The staff was pleasant. From what I saw of ... the kitchen the prep area looked nice and clean but the floors were disgusting. Food is great and the owner is very welcoming and passionate about his food. Nice to see a family working so well together. It's a shame I can only give it 2 stars but when the dining area is this dirty it really makes me wonder about the cleanliness of ... the kitchen. I'll go back when they clean up. I wish Ottawa had the same inspection standards as Toronto where cleanliness is rated and posted on the outside of restaurants. Far from perfect, I know. Hands down the best Indian food in Ottawa. We have come to know the owners really well and they are amazing people. If you have a specific request on how you would like your food prepared don't be shy to ask. I can't say that one dish is better than ... the other as I have tried them all. A good selection for a vegetarian. The food is not too spicy and is in reasonable portions compared to the price. The service is rapid and there is always a place to sit. The parking is very reasonable as well.

We've been coming here for years and love the food. Lost one star because on our last visit, they sent our appetisers to another table and tried to laugh it off rather than sincerely apologise.
