I have been eating both done in and take out from Uncle Ed’s for 10 plus years. The staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and provide great service. The food tastes great, portions are very reasonable along with the price. Not a fancy restaurant but comfortable for ... lunch or a casual supper event. Read more
True home cooking. Some of the kindest people in Canada run this cozy Ukrainian spot. Fast service and a simple but effective menu make this a formidable pillar of the Edmonton food scene
Yum! We got a full plate to share to try the different menu items. I think my favourite was the Nalysnyky. The server was kind and homey, which fit the vibe of the restaurant as a smaller business with a dedicated customer base. The restaurant was one side of the business, ... and the other were deli, frozen, and pantry items from Europe. We got some little marzipan covered cake bites very similar to a Battenberg cake which were really good! Read more
Service here stands out. Very friendly, very helpful and quite efficient. The young lady was happy to engage in conversation and provide her recommendations with a smile. The food is really worth coming out for. I ordered the real deal. Sausage was great, cabbage rolls didn't blow my skirt up, perogies ... were solid options really quite good, but the cheese crepes with the dill cream sauce knocked my socks off. So very good. The best followup to such a great meal was the black berry pie. Fantastic! Nice ukrainian beer. Everyone here seemed to be enjoying themselves and their meal. Shares space with a nice though small market and meat counter. Read more

Poor service, the older lady with glasses and brown hair literally yelled at me Infront of the entire restaurant because one of the staff did not ask for my id (I took out my id when I ordered the drink and placed it on the table, even tho I was ... not asked). I was excited to go and eat there and she completely ruined my experience and appetite with her poor customer service skills. Will not be coming back. Read more
